Welcome!
Welcome to the North American Rat & Mouse Club, Int’l! We are a fresh, new club on the scene! You may notice that our name is very similar to that of a former club: Northeast Rat & Mouse Club, International. That club is no longer in existence. We are a totally new club. Are we similar? Yes. We like to think of ourselves as the Phoenix that has arisen from the ashes of the old club.

Our goals are primarily educational. We want to educate the general public on how wonderful rats and mice are as well as debunk the negative myths surrounding them.

We will be doing this by having booths at Pet Expos, 4-H Fairs, county/state fairs, pet stores, and giving lectures or demonstrations as requested. We will also be producing educational materials that can be requested.

Our education does not stop there! We will also be educating each other on the different varieties within each species (i.e. rats and mice). We will be doing this by holding clinics and shows.

Our other goals include establishing friendships and support amongst rat and mouse fanciers. This is an excellent way to meet other people who are interested in these wonderful creatures that we know and love. And, HAVE FUN!!

Our Roots
Our roots come from the old Northeast Rat & Mouse Club, Int'l. We developed our constitution, By-laws, and Rules from the original Charter and By-laws, but there have been many changes to help the Club meet the current needs and expectations of our Club members.

What's New & Different?
Part of what is new and different, is we will be using the AFRMA Standards for showing purposes. AFRMA has been a solid club for a very long time. Their standards have come from very knowledgeable people who have been showing for many years. We feel that there should be more unity amongst the many rat and mouse clubs operating within the United States. This is one way to acheive this desired unity.

Another thing we are promoting is friendship amongst our members. This is a club for the members! Without members, it can not function! We wish to encourage our members to participate in our social activities for fun and friendship!

We'd love to hear from you!
